What is the Y4PT?

The event was an initiative of the Youth For Public Transport Foundation (Y4PT), an institution linked to the International Public Transport Union (UITP), and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
How it works
Considered the most relevant innovation event on sustainable transport in Brazil and the Americas, HACKAMERICAS 2018 had 58 participants who organized themselves into 14 groups and dedicated themselves for more than 30 uninterrupted hours in this technology marathon.

Account Setup
Users receive their transportation benefits from their employer directly into the digital wallet. They can allocate these funds to different transportation modes as needed, such as buses, metro, ride-hailing services, and shared bikes.

Fund Allocation
When using a transportation service, users pay directly through the digital wallet. The app automatically deducts the fare from the appropriate funds, ensuring a smooth transaction without the need for multiple cards.

Seamless Payment
The app provides real-time updates on fund balances and recent transactions. Users can track their spending and adjust fund allocations based on their commuting patterns and needs.

Real-Time Tracking
The digital wallet integrates with various transportation providers, offering users a unified platform for all their commuting needs. By encouraging the use of multiple transportation modes, the app promotes efficient and flexible urban mobility.

Integrated Mobility
After the active development phase is finished, the Agency
provides support with bug fixing and mobile OS version updates. If the Client requires more
feature development, the engagement is ramped up to incremental delivery again.
